WHAT TO EXPECT

What can you expect when you come to Renaissance on Sunday morning?

When do you meet?
Sunday mornings at 9:45 am. The service usually finishes at 11am.

What kind of music should I expect?
Contemporary Christian worship blended with some hymns. We have a number of musicians in our group who play keyboard, guitar, bass guitar, violin & djembe drum.

What does Renaissance have for my family?
We have a nursery and a number of children's classes, including a teens class.

Nursery - Ages 3 and under
Renaissance Kids - Ages 4 to 9
Preteens - Ages 10 to 12
Teens - Ages 13 and up.

Do I have to dress up?
That's up to you. We have folks who dress up, but most dress casual.

Do you speak or preach?
We preach between 30 and 50 minutes from the Bible. We believe the most important thing for your life is to have a practical understanding of the Bible. This is how God primarily guides and directs us in this life. The audio archive can give you a feel for our messages.

Do we observe Mass or the Lord's Supper?
Mass we do not observe. We are not a Catholic Church. We observe the Lord's Supper once or twice a month as a celebration of fellowship, not as the continued sacrfice of Christ.

Do we collect money in the service?
No. Monetary offerings are for members who place their gifts in baskets at the back by the sound board. We do not 'pass the plate' in the service. We do not encourage visitors to participate.

Do you have altar calls?
No. If people have questions or need prayer or other spiritual help our leaders are ready and available to assist you after the service. We do not call people forward at the end of the service.

Do I need a Bible?
If you need a Bible, we will give you one. Being in a movie theater we make use of Powerpoint to project Bible excerpts on the large screen. While you don't need a Bible to follow along it's always helpful to have one so that you can read the context and keep it before you.

What if I have questions or need spiritual help?
If you have questions, need prayer or other spiritual help with the Christian life our leaders will be available to help you with your need.
